Malware and ransomware are an escalating blight on businesses worldwide. To help combat the problem and make more solutions available to resellers, Australian-based data company CT4 is pleased to announce that its products are being added to global distribution leader Ingram Micro Inc.’s Cloud Marketplace.
Melbourne headquartered CT4 is the developer of several data management products including Cirrus, a solution for automating the protection of information generated by applications in the popular Microsoft 365 platform.
The Cirrus solution is now available to resellers countrywide across the US from the self-service Ingram Micro Cloud platform.
“It’s been nearly two years since the COVID-19 outbreak and we continued to see a dramatic increase in remote working, exacerbating the problems associated with malware and ransomware,” said Trent Gomersall, director, cloud channel sales at Ingram Micro Cloud.
“With ever more sophisticated attack vectors used by those wishing to do harm to businesses, steal valuable IP, or demand money in exchange for unblocking access to critical apps, businesses are looking for effective solutions that provide protection without interfering with everyday responsibilities.”
CT4 Cirrus is an affordable, effective automated back-up of all Microsoft 365 data, explains CT4 Chief Technology Officer Dan Pearson.
“Microsoft 365 is one of the most leveraged set of business tools in the world. That means a lot of data is created and stored in these applications, including OneDrive and SharePoint – and protecting that data effectively means protecting your organization from any loss, corruption, or compromise,’’ Pearson said.
A comprehensive data protection solution built on Veeam technology, Cirrus automates cloud backup of all Microsoft 365 and makes it available for rapid restore.
With Cirrus, compliance with data retention requirements is assured, ransomware and malware threats are mitigated, and accidental deletion or data corruption eliminated. It even allows for retrospective investigation; Microsoft 365 automatically deletes the data of departing employees, where Cirrus Backup retains it.
“Cirrus is fully online, simple to set up and manage directly, and designed to for use by non-technical staff,” Pearson said.
“With a growing worldwide presence, CT4 solutions are available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the UK, the relationship with Ingram Micro Cloud is a further step in our mission to become a global leader in delivering solutions to the data control challenges faced by modern businesses,” Pearson said.
Ingram Micro Cloud’s Trent Gomersall said: “Adding Cirrus to the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace portfolio adds another ‘arrow in the quiver’ for resellers, giving them a wider range of tools to look after their customers’ needs.”
