Australian-based tech company CT4 announced today the availability of its data protection software Cirrus Backup through Microsoft Azure Commercial Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Azure.
CT4 customers can now take advantage of the productive and trusted Azure cloud platform, with streamlined deployment and management.
Melbourne headquartered CT4 is the developer of several data management products including Cirrus Backup, a solution for automating the protection of information generated by applications in the popular Microsoft 365 platform.
Being able to transact directly on Azure Marketplace has been signaled as a ‘game changer’ allowing CT4 to create special deals for customers and partners, according to CT4 Chief Technology Officer Dan Pearson.
“For our customers, they can now sign up for Cirrus Backup directly from their Microsoft account via the Azure Marketplace and manage their subscription via the Azure portal,’’ Mr Pearson said.
“By purchasing via Microsoft, users are able to pay for their Cirrus Backup subscription through an existing Microsoft agreement such as an Enterprise Agreement, even drawing down on their Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC).
“Not only does this simplify the procurement process but they can also save on the cost of Cirrus Backup via the discounts applied to their EA,’’ he said.
“Meanwhile for Cirrus and Microsoft CSP partners, it means customers can get started with Cirrus more easily.
“We create custom deals to suit specific service offerings, allowing partners to focus on getting their customer protected, while leaving the price plans to us and the billing to Microsoft,’’ Mr Pearson said.
Jake Zborowski, General Manager, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp. said: “We’re pleased to welcome Cirrus Backup to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, which gives our partners great exposure to cloud customers around the globe. Azure Marketplace offers world-class quality experiences from global trusted partners with solutions tested to work seamlessly with Azure.”
“Microsoft Azure Marketplace lets customers worldwide discover, try, and deploy software solutions that are certified and optimized to run on Azure.
“Azure Marketplace helps solutions like Cirrus Backup reach more customers and markets,’’ he said.
The partnership coincides with a suite of new upgrades to Cirrus Backup, enhancing customer view, billing, backup and RBAC experiences.
